We pride ourselves on our lavender.
-
Dream it.
In 2018, Puma decided to throw caution to the wind, quit his job as an attorney, and plant five-thousand lavender plants. Old Field Lavender Farm in Ashe County, NC, was manifested as a result of his efforts.
-
Build it.
In 2022, Jeannie and Puma decided to move the lavender from Old Field Lavender Farm to Spiral Mountain. With the help of community, we planted over five hundred newly propogated lavender plants and transplanted over two hundred five-year-old lavender plants.
-
Grow it.
As 2023 draws to a close, we have maintained the new lavender field at Spiral Mountain for one season. We feel that we have a fantastic start on our new lavender field, and we are hopeful that the young plants will produce a good harvest next year. We are so grateful.
“People usually consider walking on water or in thin air a miracle. But I think the real miracle is not to walk either on water or in thin air, but to walk on earth. Every day we are engaged in a miracle which we don't even recognize: a blue sky, white clouds, green leaves, the black, curious eyes of a child—our own two eyes. All is a miracle.”
