Directions to Spiral Mountain

* From Asheville/Patton Ave. take 63 N/Leicester Hwy 13 miles to N. Turkey Creek Rd.

* Take a left on N. Turkey Creek Rd. and go 9.3 miles to Surrett Cove rd. (N. Turkey Creek Rd. becomes Earlys Mountain Rd.)

* Turn right on Surrett Cove Rd.

* Take slight left onto Randall Glenn Cove. This last 3/4 mile is a one-lane, gravel road. We recommend AWD/4WD, but many visitors have come in two-wheel drive vehicles without having problems.

* Go right at fork in the road at the sign "22 Reemes"

* At the next fork, stay left. There is a sign to the right that says “100 Randall Cove - Private Residence.”

* Pass straight through a farm with livestock — Randall Glen. There is a big red barn house here. Please go very slowly, walking speed, 5mph through the farm and up the hill. Passing through a red gate. There is a new drive that veers to the right immediately before you get to the big red barn house on the left. Do *not* take the new drive to the right. Continue straight directly past the red barn house, and continue up the hill. 

* In this moment, as you leave the farm and come up the hill, you may have to go faster than 5 mph. It’s helpful to maintain a speed of about 10 mph. It will also be helpful to turn off traction control on your vehicle.

* After you ascend the hill, you will come to a large gray metal gate that says “Welcome to Spiral Mountain.” You have arrived! Please close the gate behind you so the cows don't get in!

* Keep going up the gravel road and around the fields. 

* Go right at the fork in the road to the cabins, where there is a statue of a female figure. You may park at the top of the knoll on either the right or the left. There are signs that say “Parking.”

* We recommend that guests plan to arrive before dark, if at all possible. The country roads are easier to traverse in the daytime.
